KENNY BOND
September 17, 1969 - November 29, 2018
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has been my passion since about 1995 when I started training with Royce Gracie at the Gracie Academy in Torrance. Since then, I’ve been training consistently at least 4 days per week, usually more.
I’ve competed in countless competitions all over the country. My biggest win came in the 2003 Pan Ams, when after a long day of hard fought battles, I beat my opponent in the finals by armbar to win the Gold Medal.
This achievement was topped only by being awarded my black belt from my coach and mentor, Renato Magno, Patriarch of the Street Sports Family in September of 2003.
After all these years of being on the mat, my passion for this Jiu Jitsu has only gotten stronger. I view Jiu Jitsu as not just as sport, but as a lifestyle that changes lives for the better. My goal is to transfer my knowledge and passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to my students.
Here at Street Sports Simi Valley, I promise to run a gym that has a friendly and positive environment. I will not tolerate egos or poor attitudes. We train hard, but we train as friends and as teammates.
This is the Street Sports way.
Respectfully,
Kenny Bond
